<note>This study was aimed to analyze the usage of drugs on pediatric diarrhea patient at Dr. Ramelan General Hospital of TNI AL Surabaya from period 1' of January to 31st of December 2007. It was covered profile of drug usage and possibility of Drug Related Problems (DRP). This study was using retrospective data from Patient Medical Record and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that therapy was given to the patient were rehydration, antibiotic, anti-diarrhea, and other drugs to cure the co-morbid disease. Rehydration therapy that commonly used was infusion KA-EN 3B. Antibiotic that commonly used was ampicillin 250 up to 300mg IV three times daily. The other drugs that commonly given were adsorbent, anti-convulsion, antipyretic, antiemetic, analgesic, vitamin, probiotic, and electrolyte solution. The dose was generally appropriate for each patient. The possibility DRPs were inappropriate drug therapy, adverse effect and drug interaction. It is necessary to make the prospective research to analyze DUS in this case.</note>
